Paul Wallace, Jr., President
 

With over 30 years’ experience in hotel management Paul has held various positions from Controller to General Manager to Chief Operating Officer overseeing multiple hotels and acquisitions. These positions provided Paul with a great deal of valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in all areas of hotel operations including restaurant/kitchen management, sales and marketing, accounting, human resources, rooms division, various franchise operations, hotel purchases/sales, construction (both ground-up and renovations) and much more. He has worked with Sheraton, Hilton, Best Western, Radisson, and numerous independent and boutique hotels. 

 

Always involved, Paul is a strong believer in giving back to your community. He has enjoyed participation with various charitable organizations such as Viking Men’s Club in Solvang, Special Olympics, SCOR Cardiac Cyclists, American Heart Association, and Make-a-Wish Foundation. He has also actively participated with various tourism and economic organizations, vintners associations, sheriff’s council and lodging industry associations. Paul enjoys golf, cycling, horseback riding and working with animals.

Shelly Wallace, CHSP, Vice-President
 

With over 25 years in hotel management and sales, primarily as Director of Sales & Marketing, Shelly has been extremely successful in increasing hotel revenues while managing all aspects of hotel sales including creating and implementing effective marketing plans, identifying potential clients in appropriate markets and soliciting their business, filling need periods by targeting sales efforts and/or creating special events, designing printed collateral, internet marketing, working with media and key members of the community and hiring, motivating, and leading a productive sales team.  Additionally, Shelly enjoys partnering with HelmsBriscoe, the global leader in meetings procurement, assisting companies with finding the ideal hotels and locations for their conferences. The combined experience of “selling” hotels and “shopping/buying” hotels has provided Shelly with a great deal of insight about what is available in the marketplace and what travelers desire.  Shelly has always been active in the tourism community and has served on multiple chamber/CVB boards as well as charitable organizations.  In her free time, Shelly enjoys hiking, distance running and paddling.
